Hole in plaster board too big for curtain rail

I drilled a hole to put up a curtain.

Large heavy curtain So I decided in my wisdom to use a heavier fixing.

Luckily there is a concrete slab right behind the hole so my too long heavier fixing would not go in.

I have jigged it using a small raw plug in a big raw plug, but the hole is still too big.

Drilling in to the concrete is least popular option.

I suspect any standard fille would just fall out.

Is there a decent type of filler / liquid cement I could use to lock this in solidly?
 
normally a plaster board would not hold up a heavy curtain.your best bet is to drill into concrete. to fill the hole stuff paper into the hole and then use polyfiller.good luck! if that is not a option use plaster board rawl plugs.
 
Drill through the concrete, get a long screw put it through whatever fitting that needs fitted, then twist a raw plug on the end of screw, line up with hole in concrete and gently tap in. when tapped in enough start screwing. plaster board, regardless of screw will not hold up anything as heavy as a curtain that is pulled at on a regular basis.

What's the diameter of the hole and what's the distance between the plasterboard and the concrete?
 
I suspect the best option is the one you least like........but us craftsmen always have solutions.

If you decide to do it differently - you will need a decorative board which you mount the rail onto, a tube of no more nails and 1 screw for every 10 inches of the board.

What you do is place the board onto the wall so it covers where you want the curtain rail to go, then screw through the board into the plaster then remove the board from the wall, put plenty of no more nails on the board then replace the board on the wall using the same screw-holes. Leave it for a few hours then the board should be rock solid, then attach your curtain rail

Hole is now a little over 8mm

Concrete is not too far away I would guess about 10 mm

The long screws into concrete may work.
