just as i thought, sapelle here is commonly known as mahoganny which only has a grade of moderate durability compared to teak the most commonly used species in ireland being iroko which has a grade of high/very high durability. Sapelle is cheaper than iroko.
Alot of people just assume when they hear hardwood that it is high durability but there is quiet a large range of hardwoods available in ireland.
