Article in Indo today - Social Justice Ireland, saying increased taxes are "inevitable".
Really, is that a fact?

I looked up this organisation, and they are a registered charity.
Wonder where they get funding from?

Well obviously the overall tax take in euros will rise, as the pop and incomes rise.

Given population ageing, and already low overall taxes, higher tax revenues as % of GNI may be inevitable, yes.

All of their reports and press releases on these issues call for higher taxes and welfare increases so nothing new to see here. Just like the Unions, IBEC, SFA etc. they have an agenda that they don't deviate from.

I used to be a member.

Member fees & donations only accounted for 5% of their funding in 2017. Their accounts are online. Vast majority comes from the state via the Dept of Housing & Pobal.

I agree...I was just giving the probable reasons why the Govt fund these outfits.
