High rates cause homes to be repossessed

Rodger,

I ain,t a fan of Banks , but even I, sometimes I think repossession can be the (best) option.
In this case it seems the customers case was hopeless, high or low rates !

The variable rates didn't change between 2006 and 2012, there may have been ups/downs in the interim, more likely it was an issue of the loan going from interest only to capital and interest. Here are the actual rates from both time periods. Back in 2006 KBC was known as IIB (in case you pick up on the different name). Apologies for the muck orientation, one is horizontal from a pdf the other was an excel file & to make this point I didn't want to spend ages photoshopping it pretty.

Thanks Karl

In summary:
IIB SVR 2006: 4.2%
KBC SVR 2012: 4.25%

The problem with KBC is not that they have increased rates, it's that they have not reduced rates.
