Hi all
Can anyone tell me what does a taxi cost from Helsinki port to city center. I checked some trip adviser posts but they are old ones.
I was thinking of going to Tallinn and doing a day trip to Helsinki . Any information would be very welcome.
Thank you.

From memory the large viking and silja line boats are easily accessible by tram. Not sure about Tallink but would be very surprised if not readily reachable buy reliable bus/tram connections.
Helsinki isn't Dublin !!!!

Thanks
Is there a tram from the West Harbour 2 port to the city? or busses

Yes , of course , as expected, in Helsinki everything is simple. This isnt CIE .

If you look at the map , I see Bus 23M and Trams 6/7 go past.

The ferries arrive into downtown Helsinki, so easy to get to Mannerheimtie/Railway Stn area.

A Taxi to this area is completely unneccesary unless you have lots of baggage.
In Finland, taxis are luxury items, and so you sit in a Mercedes rather than a Toyota. By car 15mins 40euro. Tram 20mins 3euro .

A version of HKL public transport is something we can only dream about, unfortunately. The Tram will be on time, and so will the bus.
Fidel.
