Help! Work in South - live in North.

Hi all, I'm new to this and need a bit of help! Any answers are much appreciated.

I live in Newry but work in the South. My questions is about child benefit. Does anyone know if I claim child benefit from the South or the North?? I obviously pay my tax and PRSI in the South. Also, how much would I get for one child.

Have a read through that link page above, but I think you have to be living in ireland, hopefully othe posters will advise you also.

if you live in north and work and pay prsi in south, then you can claim in the south.
the child benefit dept. now send forms to you every 3 months to get signed by your employer to confirm that you are still working in republic.

hi guys. thanks for the help! does anyone know how much child benefit is in the north?
also, will the SW not be a bit annoyed if i give my northern address? i do pay class a prsi in south though!!
