Help to buy scheme - claim a refund of income tax paid in the last 4 years up to maximum of 5% of the house purchase price. It must be a new build. Max price €500,000.
Affordable home loan to first time buyers - 2% loan interest - 25 year term - max to €75,000 income for a married couple - max €320,000 purchase price of house and max 90% LTV.
How is the income tax refund received? Will it be immediate through the persons next PAYE pay and available for use with a deposit or is it a refundable tax credit?
Are there any other schemes a first time buyer should be aware of?
Thanks.
