I need advice please. 5 years ago I jointly purchased a property via Home Partnership Scheme (so pay rent and mortgage). 3 years ago I moved out due to domestic abuse since then ex partner has refused to sell and caused property to go into negative equity. I applied for Transfer of Equity to remove my name but he refused (originally agreed because his new girlfriend had moved in).
I need to force him to sell the house somehow and cannot understand why mortgage/rent company have not repossessed the property, as they know he cannot afford property on his own.
How can I get this sorted as ex either will not speak to me, sell but seems happy to drag me (and himself) further into debt.
Original price of property £50,000 with arrears we now owe £70,000.
Any help would be appreciated.
