Hi all,

Firstly I hope my question makes sense. I have 2 PRB’s and money in a former DC scheme. Mostly invested in equities. Within the PRB I have the ability to buy some shares myself through an Irish Life platform. I have recently got a letter saying Irish life are closing this down.

Ideally I would like to put all the monies together and my understanding is that would be 3 separate PRB’s. I would then like to invest some myself in various equities and the majority would then be in passively managed funds as such. I rang Davy but they charge 1% for just a platform, no advice and then trading fees on top. Seems excessive.

Does anyone else offer anything like the above at reasonable rates. More than happy to pay for advice and service but would like value for money.

Yes you would be looking at 3 separate PRB's if you're moving the 2 existing ones out of the Irish Life SIF and the DC fund.

You could look at the Friends First https://www.friendsfirst.ie/pensions/do-it-yourself-pension/ (SDIO) platform (Self Directed Investment Option) as an alternative which offers a trading account through Cantor Fitzgerald. €15k min deposit.
