Heating Systems for SIP Build Type Houses

Hi there,

we are looking at building a 2500-2600 SIP Panel and are wondering about heating type? A colleague of mine build a house from the same material - 3600 square feet and all he uses is a Heat Ventilation system to heat the bedrooms/bathrooms from the large wood burning stove he has in his open plan kitchen/diner/living area. his house is a sip panel house - super insulated, triple glazing argon filled 0.7 u value windows, and well orientated for maximum solar gain. he spent 35k installing underfloor heating throughout and a good quality oil condensing boiler and has only used this system for 1 week! Any thoughts on what direction we should go?

what is the design parameters/ access to fuel/ preferred distribution system? what kwhr/m2/yr is expected? what is the proviosnal BER suggesting? how will the renewable % of Building Regs be meet?
without having these elements considered, I would struggle to prescribe a heating system?
or we could ask for a poll on heatnig types:
Gas
oil
wind
wave
solar
timber
geo-thermal
air-to-air
pv
