Im Mid 50's male on Company plan extra select, with 2 young adults 21 and 23 whom are on same policy
Is there a step down plan for the two young adults, that will be cheaper but more suitable to their ages. Both are in good health. The older is also a student, are there student rates, or does young adult encompass all.
For a person in mid 50's is company plan extra select, suitable or is there something more reasonable that would cover this age group. I am in good health with no issues
I would like to stick with VHI but not averse to changing to another company

Welcome to AAM. The following alternatives are worth considering for yourself, cheaper prices, one with extra cover for day to day cover - part refunds for gp visits, consultant visits, dental, etc.

Adult Options
1. VHI PMI 37 13; price 1075pa; similar hospital cover as before, limited day to day cover.

2. VHI Company Plan Plus Level 1.2; price 1128pa; similar hospital cover as before, good day to day cover included.

3. Laya Simply Connect; price 1100pa; similar hospital cover as before, good day to day cover included.

The following options are worth considering for the 21 and 23 year olds;
1. One Plan 250; price 421(21 yr old) or 586(23 yr old); all public and private hospitals covered; excess 250 x 2 max per year for all admissions
or 150 excess for day case procedures.

2. One Plan 150; price 459(21 yr old) or 640(23 yr old); all public and private hospitals covered; excess 150 x 2 max per year for all admissions
or 150 per day case procedure.

3. Company Plan Plus Level 1.3; price 542(21 yr old) or 754(23 yr old); all public, private and 3 hi-tech hospitals covered, excess 150 per private
admission or 50 per day case procedure. Good day to day cover included.
