I received a Linkedin message from somebody who works in recruitment asking me to contact them as they have positions i may be suitable for. Out of curiosity i replied, and received a phone call today. There are 2 positions he wanted to discuss with me - one i disregarded as i would not feel challenged or get job satisfaction. The other i said i did not have the suitable experience (very specific industry) but apparently this isn't an issue, they would be willing to train to bring in line with standards.
Other candidates have been put forward for interview, but the company would like me to consider applying. I asked about the obvious things, how much travel involved, flexibility etc. and benefits package (rough guideline). I was asked what i was on now, so i gave a figure of my P60 takehome last year +€10k. They said it wouldn't be a problem. I am thinking 'Jeez.....'
I have asked for the company name and information and been sent a link to look over. Question is, wondering if i am being silly to consider it? I am in a very stable job at the moment, good money etc. and it's a challenging role (new one would be more challenging in a specific industry). Opinions please.....
