Has anyone here availed of the Rebuilding Ireland Home Loan?

I have seen very little about this but it seems that about €100m of mortgages have been handed out. And there seems to be a demand for €200m more from press reports.

But there have been only a few mentions of it on askaboutmoney.

I heard someone say that half of the loans so far have been for self-builds.

We sold a house to what was our tenant 13 months ago. They successfully funded the purchase of the house, a 3 bed semi, through the scheme.
The mortgage loan was for 25 years @ 2% fixed for the duration as far as I can remember. 90% of the purchase price approved and drawn down circa 140k
It all seemed to be quite straightforward once the initial application was approved. The usual standard surveyors reports etc...were required.

There is a FB page called Self Build and Renovations Ireland and the subject often comes up which makes sense if there are so many self builds.
