I bought a Babyliss Big Hair dryer and it burnt out. I note that on the Harvey Norman site there is information about sending faulty good for repair, waiting times etc. Would this be common or would I be likely to get a new one? I don't want to be hanging around for a repair of something obviously so faulty that it blew out on the day I bought it. Obviously I have the receipts etc since I only got it today

The option of repair, replace, refund is with the vendor. With a fault like that on a relatively low value item, replacement is the most likely outcome.
