Hanging new internal doors

Hi

I have door skins installed and now have to get a carpenter to install either door framesand doors or pre-hung door set

Can anyone tell me what is the going rate for labour to do this for
1 standard door frame
2 Pre-hung door

The doors shall be oak

Your best bet would be to ring a few carpenters and get quotes. The cheapest won't always be the best, so ask to look at work they have done, and find out what people think of them.

Above all, try to get an intelligent one. I had a carpenter who could do a great job if everything was straight and level, but once he came up against a problem, all he could see was the problem, couldn't look for, or find a solution.

You're looking at 40 euro per pre hung doorset providing the locks are already fitted. Pre hung kits work out more expensive to buy probably 150 euro but shop around, also doorsets can be fitted to a whole house in one day. Hope this helps
