And aside from coronavirus & the supernatural make sure you watch out for the usual threats of razor blades in the candies and fireworks being used as projectiles...
Honestly, I've had one of those days, but this cracked me up!

Didn't want to open a new thread as there are quite a few related ones already.
Anyway, it's that time of the year again when the suburbs turn into warzones, dogs howl in anguish and cats run for cover (some areas a lot worse than others, to be fair.)
I'd be a bit more worried this year given the perfect weather but more so due to the Tic-Toc craze of young people doing dangerous and damaging stuff just for kicks and "likes." The online clips from France, Spain, the UK and elsewhere of the various "protests" taking place can only increase the appeal of general mayhem, destruction (and injury) for laughs. Fireworks seem to be a lot more potent and lethal these days than the pathetic bangers and sparklers that circulated back in my day.
(We've already seen an increase in, for example, playgrounds and other public facilities being vandalised and in some cases burnt to the ground. I'd be worried about the direction of this trend.)
The Gardai and Fire services will be stretched tonight.
