Tried to buy something over the phone with Laura Ashley shop in Belfast with the halifax visa debit card. When the number had been entered the terminal kept stating Failed. The shop assistant tried 3 times. I called Halifax and all they could say was maybe that shop wasn't setup for visa debit which is very unlikely considering visa debit is very common in UK.
