It was reported in the Examiner Newspaper today that Lloyds Bank may close their Halifax branches in Ireland, has anyone else heard anything about this? I have just moved into my new house and have my mortgage with Halifax, what would happen to our mortgage if they were to close? Does it just carry on as normal or would someone else take over our mortgage?
