Gully Cleaning/Street Cleaning issues.

There was a second person in the lorry who I understand is supposed to leave the lorry, sweep these awkward areas and sweep the footpath debris on to the road so the machine can suck it up. This person never left the lorry at any time as I watched
What is the second person in the lorry for? What is his job description? Anyone know?

Dublin City Council workers recently gave me branded blue bags when I said I sometimes pick up local rubbish.

I leave the full bags out before bedtime beside a public rubbish bin and they are always collected by 7 am the next morning.

My post was made in the Miscellaneous Non Financial thread. I was inviting debate on the issue. Looking through the Terms and Conditions I do not see a specific rule that states that you must ask a question, unless I missed it.

The thread has had 1000 views and 27 replies.

So some people found it interesting.

If the local council send out a machine to clean the gulley running alongside the kerb, I think they should do a thorough job, rather than half a job
Update.

I contacted the Council.

The next day we had a truck out cleaning the storm drains on the road.

The following day all the branches, leaves and other debris was removed from the footpath and kerb-side that had been ignored when the sweeping was being done . I did not see who did this.

It appears that the person from the Council who checked the work of the first people cleaners decided that a poor job was done initially.

It looks great now.
