the accord hotels dont have anything in Mitte (they do, but its booked out one night im there!!),

So can anyone else suggest anything in the Mitte area for fairly cheap thats also decent?

Try this one garythegreat I think it is around 10 minutes walk from alexanderplatz www.alex-hotel.de. I seen it when I was searching for myself.
They do double rooms for €80 with breakfast. Seems very nice
