Does nyone know where to start looking for info re grants for mature students? Thank you in advance.

Get in contact with your local county council. For example if your from dublin go to the dublin county council web site and you'll get all the information on how to apply for a grant.

I would think that the closing date for receipt of applications for grants from the county council would have since passed - I could be wrong though. Information on funding can be got from

"This info may be totally useless but I spoke with County Dublin Vocational Education Committee and they gave me some forms for my son.

The closing date is 31st August.
