Does anyone know what other expenses would be taken into account on a gp application form?

We are just over the threshold for a card.

We would be under if it they would take into account:

Management fee on home as well as the mortgage.
Life insurance - required for mortgage.
Travel expenses to training not just work (one person in training, one in fulltime work). Person training is spending €25 a week on travel.

Will they subtract obligatory public sector pension contributions?

I wonder could we make a case? We're only over the max by about €25 a week.

if you go to hse website. you can see what can deducted for.

my reading of there online form

life insurance, house insurance, childcare costs and travel to work cost ( if own car and travel to work in it €50 a week cost for car and €0.18 per km travelled to work and back or cost of bus/train tickets)

Cost of car is allowed only if no suitable public transport is available.I had to provide proof that my wife couldn't use the bus (not didn't want to/not convenient),before my card was granted on appeal.
