I read that "It will also be announced today that the Department of Finance will run an Expression of Interest for the appointment of financial literacy ambassadors" - could this be an avenue or will it be restricted to industry?

They could have done with a few in their own department back in 2009 , the government had to bring in outside expertise to sort that out as nobody inhouse was up to the task.

sorry, I had quoted Brendan saying he was disappointed he wasn't included in discussions on the new scheme but the quote was removed. Probably isn't an avenue for representatives anyway..
