Good Picnic location near South Dublin

Does anyone have any ideas for a good picnic location near South Dublin that won't be mobbed on a fine Bank Holiday weekend ?

I guess the obvious places like Powerscourt and Macreddin village will all be mobbed ??

It takes a lot of people to 'mob' somewhere like Marlay Park — and apart from the carpark, it costs nothing...

going out from larah on the road to clara there is a lovely little spot on the left hand side there is a nice place were kids can swim and a lovely walk it has never been too crowded . Its a nature reserve too. its easy to miss but when you pass a house called Stag Cottage on the RHS you're nearly there I'm only telling you about it as my kids are grown up now !!!

Marley car park is free, though it can be busy on a sunny weekend.
