Good & competitive home insurance?

Hi
I'm living in Lucan in typical 3 bed semi valued at 385K (but may have dropped 20K since then).
Just wondering if there are any companies out there for home insurance.
With EBS, but it seems expensive (499 premium).
I want good cover, not just cheap, but looking for the most competitive quote.

There are lots of existing threads about home insurance and containing useful tips and recommendations. Bear in mind that you should always check the terms & conditions of the policy to make sure that it suits your needs and not choose a policy on price alone.
