Gift card expiry date

Hi. I have a gift card for Harvey Norman purchased 30th Dec 2019 with an expiry 24 months printed on it. I contacted the store and was told that they are only valid for 12 months which I know is incorrect. Does anyone know how long a gift card is valid? Thanks

Under the Consumer Protection (Gift Vouchers) Act 2019 there is a 5-year minimum expiry date for all vouchers sold after 2 December 2019.
