Getting paid for doing data entry online

Just got a mail from offering me money to do data entry online. Looks like I'd have to part with 99 dollars and in return I'd earn mega bucks for filling out forms for various companies. Just wondering if anybody has done this or knows anybody who has. It's probably another scam but it looks convincing enough. All ideas welcome. Thanks.

It must be a scam. Why pay you megabucks to do it when it can be done in India for 1/10th or 1/100th of the cost?

Ask them to deduct the $99 from your first massive paycheck. If they refuse (and they will), it's a scam...
