Getting old AIB statements or transaction list

How do I get old AIB bank statements or a transaction list?

THe app only goes back 7 years. Would a branch be able to print a transaction list from 12 years ago?

Branch unlikely to be able to, if that stuff is kept that far back it's on whatever the more modern equivalent of the microfiche is, it will be in storage if it exists and if so they could get them for you, probably a hefty enough charge per page.

What exactly do you need here?

There may be another solution that doesn’t involve transaction printouts.

Via the address on your statements or transactions with particular retailers?

Banks did a big clear out a few years ago once the embargo on the destruction of banking records was lifted. You might get lucky but your best bet would be if you had a mortgage account at the time, that is one they would/should have kept the details

It could be worth trying Revenue to see if they have anything on file going back that long

Banks might still have details of address changes on file and you could ask if they'd write to you with confirmation.
