Getting into The Pharma's

I am looking to get out of the Electronics manufacturing arena and into the pharmas if possible for obvious reasons,however it looks like they don't want to know us(I've a few friends trying to do similar).Has anyone here done the same,what route did you go and did anyone try the pharma conversion course in Tallaght...it's run privately I think but is quite expensive for such a short course(10weeks)....what do the pharma's look for?
