Hi, I was hoping someone could help me with a problem I'm having! I have gas central heating which was working fine until a few days ago. To turn on the heat I just adjust a temperature setting to above what the current room temperature is and the heat usually comes on, and the boiler would come on when I do this.
However, for the past couple of days I can't get the heat to turn on. The fan icon on the temperature panel where I adjust to temperature to turn on the heat comes on, as if the heat is on, but the radiators are staying cold.
The boiler has been v quiet over the last couple of days but has come on occasionally. Do I need to get the boiler serviced? Or is it a problem with the radiatiors?
I have a separate issue with my water - often, when I turn on the hot tap nothing comes out. in order to get hot water running again I tend to flush the toilet repeatedly and leave a tap on the bathroom and then the water tank makes a bit gurgling noise and hot water comes back. Just wonedering if this might be related to the heating not working? Are the radiators linked to the tank?
Any help would be appreciated because Bord Gais aren't coming out to me till next Friday! Thanks.
