Gardaí to engage in work-to-rule next month
What's going on?
At least its not Paris, Milan, Bologna or elsewhere in Europe, but there is definitely an undercurrent in Irish society in Ireland and abroad, of civilian unrest? Particularly following the fuel protests?
Maybe I'm wrong? - in no particular order.
Bank collapses, bailouts, Covid, housing crisis, inflation, War in Europe, Trump, War in Palestine, Ilegal Immigration and riots on O'Connell St, Brexit, Russia, Putin, war in africa, FIFA, Israel, IFA, ICE, UEFA, fuel shortage, Charlie Kirk, Eurovision, Kneecap, UK Terrorism laws, Macklemore, Man City, Sally Rooney, Garvaghy Road, ICTU, GRA.
I'm not endorsing any of it or advocating for any it, just observing that social tensions appear to me to be increasing here, and abroad.
And as much as they may seem detached from one another there are certainly elements connecting them all together - at least thats my opinion - please feel free to add any other disruptions.
So what is going on? And what is laying in store?*
*Appreciating that such questions are a hornets nest I respectfully ask that any responses (if any) are 1 post responses and that no replies are permitted. Open another thread on any responses considered worth responding too.
