Great coverage Brendan. Well done & keep up the good work. Also thanks to Charlie Weston of the Indo who has been doing items on the high SVR for ages.
 
Could not agree more. Fantastic work Brendan. Incredible coverage by Charlie Weston. You guys have really woken the masses up to the SVR issue.
 
I presume there is some form of quango dealing with consumer affairs?Where are they in all of this,haven't heard anything from them?

Thanks lads. The Quango is the Competition and Consumer Protection Council, who have said that they are not going to do anything about it. They should have been featured in the IT cartoon today.

How are they fulfilling their obligations to the consumer,this is another glaring example of another unfit for any purpose quango,about as useful as Homebond or a chocolate teapot-
I find that infuriating that they can get away with that.
 
its a disgrace , the arrogance of the banks extends right down to local level , was in looking for a loan recently and when i received a quote for 5.74% , i commented that it was pretty high , the manager shot back that " i was the only one who she ever heard think this " , i replied that the bank was borrowing the money from the ECB at less than half of one %
