Hi,
I am Filling in a form 12 online for first time. I am a paye worker but received UK pension and lump sum in 2018 at age 60. I have entered pension amount, which had already been declared, and not taxed in UK, so it was prepopulated ( but incorrect I see, so reckon i am due some tax back?) but what do i do about the tax free lump sum ? They are not asking for any info on that so I am assuming I don't put it in ? Is that right ? I don't want them looking for tax on that later.
Also, do I need to do anything about mortgage interest relief that I get monthly? I am assuming not as I never did before as paye person.
I did a form 12 many years ago manually when I had substantial medical expenses and remember all sorts of questions about dirt tax etc but see nothing about them here. Am i missing somthing? Amounts would be miniscule but again, already paid via banks.
As a paye worker have not had much exposure to online tax returns, so if I get something wrong can it be corrected later ?
Thanks in advance
