Hi,
Does anyone know how the Form 11 calculation works in relation to pension relief for AVCs paid with regard to occupational income? I have both occupational and self-employed income and I pay private contributions on both types of income. However when I checked the Form 11 calculations, I see that it is not providing me with any relief in the final 'Calculate' page for AVC contributions made on occupational income. Why is that? I have followed the revenue youtube video on how to fill out the form with regard to pension contributions. I am thinking that I am maybe not filling it out properly. Any help would be appreciated.

In the page PAYE Bik / Pensions (2)

Go to the Pensions contribution relief section

Click the Pension Relief button

You need to input your employment income details into this form.

When all the correct data is inputted it should show maximum available pension contributions relief equal to your age related % amount. (minus any relief given at source from contributions deducted directly from your wages)

This form can be confusing to complete. Play around with your data until the calculation gives the correct maximum available total.

This total will then be allowed in the Calculate page.

Hi S Class,
Thank you for your reply. I had done everything you said, but nothing showed up in the Calculate page and the final amount payable didn't change, when it should have been reduced. I will contact the ROS technical team tomorrow.
