During the stormy weather on friday night,The FOR SALE sign in my garden blew down and struck my car it has left a fairly decent dent on the passenger door.
Who is liable for this me or estate agent?
if its me,house insurance or car insurance?
does anyone have any experiance of this?

Hi there,
As far as I am aware (I did insurance exams a while ago but am a bit hazy) it would be your house insurance. Might be worth talking to the estate agent but as it was on your land, unless you could prove his negligence in some way, I think it would be your responsibility. Read your house policy and make sure that damage caused by storm is covered. If your house insurance won't cover it, then you may have to put in a claim on the car policy. As I say, I am no expert and the memory is failing so if anyone knows bettter, please correct me.
