FOI consequences

Hi all,

I've submitted a FOI request to an organisation(local authority) that says as part of its blurb that it must acknowledge it within 10 days of receiving it. Wha happens if they don't acknowledge it?-as they haven't!!!Are there any consequences for them?Financial penalties etc??

there are no financial penalties, but they should acknowledge it. i would give thema ring. They can also get a time extension if they can have reasonable grounds. Staff etc etc. When exaclty did you send it in??
