Flying to Canada from Dublin airport

We are flying to Canada - Vancouver next week with Air Canada, direct flight.

We had to do an ETA for arriving into Canada like you would for the US.

I assumed we would have to do pre-clearance at Dublin Airport like you do for US. We are flying from Terminal 1 and we need to be there 3 hours beforehand like any long haul flight. I thought pre-clearance was only in Terminal 2, I am confused! Is there also a pre-clearance in Terminal 1?

Any advices or thoughts would be appreciated!

Pre-clearance is only for US bound flights. Canada, despite recent news, is a different country. There is no pre-clearance in Dublin. Standard immigration and customs checks are happening at arrival in Vancouver.
