Fly Invasion - How to Repel ?

I'll try Stevo's idea too! Those fruit flies LOVE my weekly supply of nectarines and go absolutely crazy for the half lemons that sometimes I leave in the fruit basket.
I also noticed that there seem to be more spiders around this year than the previous summers. Have any of the posters noticed ?
 
Funny thing. The use of bleach must have made the flies lose their caution because quite a few have been ensnared on the sticky flypaper thingy since I introduced the bleach.
We now have 1>bleach spray 2> vinegar traps 3> rapid food disposal 4> compostible bags for kitchen waste and 5> festoons of flypaper and we, like Maggie T, are not for turning on this.
 
if you live near the bog you will be overwhelmed with the little buggers every year.
