Laya flex 500 explore alternative for families

Hi snowyb, health insurance renewal time again and more confusion with plans. 2 adults and 3 kids.currently on flex 500 explore with Laya- renewal date June 1st. There are some plans that have the reduced price for kids still available but would we be dropping cover by going with these. Any advice appreciated as you have been a great help in previous years . Thanks in advance

There are no plans with similar cover to Flex 500 Explore, that are cheaper in price.
Cheaper priced plans would have no cover for Blackrock Clinic or Mater Private and there would be a selected list of private hospitals
covered.

Note; Start Plan 250 is not suitable for children as just one childrens hospital(Crumlin) is covered, Temple St is not covered.

Cheaper priced childs plan would just cover public hospitals: Example Laya Assure Protect price 156pa
Laya Flex 500 Explore covers private hospitals if required; Example Beacon hospital. price 211pa.

Note; Laya allow you to change plans mid-year to another Laya plan, so if any good child offers arise during the year you can
avail of them at any time.
