Flat sceen tv

Hi,

I am looking for some advice on best value flat screen tv's available at the moment. Just looking for 15" (or 17" if v.g. value), something to hang on the wall in bedroom. Does anyone know of special bargains to be had ? Any experience of brands like Beko or is it best to stick with the Sony's etc ?

I was looking at 15"/17" in Harvey Norman a couple of weeks ago. They were LG for about €399 for the 15" if I remember rightly.

With electronics today, I'd have no problem buying LG over Phillips or Sony which were also there, at way higher prices as well.

Are you talking full-screen (4:3) or widescreen (16:9)?

In either case, check out the resolution - even at 17" I would be looking for 1024 x 768 (widescreen) or if you can get it, 1280 x 768.

Don't buy if it has only VGA resolution (640 x 480).
