Does anyone know if this has been removed for musicians?

The current list makes no mention of it as a trade where there is a flat rate expense
http://www.revenue.ie/en/employing-people/employee-expenses/flat-rate-expense-allowances/index.aspx

the irish times as recent as 2015 referenced it in an article and I did claim on it several years ago so it was there at one point
https://www.irishtimes.com/business...ses-could-land-you-a-minor-windfall-1.2369898

hadnt had to claim for some time but doing returns for last year and now need. Id guess if its not on current list it may have been removed.

First thing's first; if you are self employed in trade as a musician then the material you reference is of no relevance to you as it relates solely to PAYE employees.

Secondly, the figure for musicians referenced by the IT article was 2,476 which relates to members of the RTÉ concert orchestra and the national symphony orchestra. The list of expenses hasn't changed and they're still on it if you scroll down it as far as R.

ah yes, thats the one, I was searching for musician and missed it. thanks
