Financial Spread Betting

Has anybody tried financial spread betting? There's a lot of hype around and some manage to make a living with it. I understand most of the people lose because of lack of education, discipline, etc, that's why I'd like to find out about it as much as possible.

I'm not sure about the broker yet as they're plenty of them to choose from... probably will go for the tightest spreads.

Have you used any websites to learn about financial spread betting and choose a broker? Your recommendations are very welcome.
