What is your total limit across all your credit cards? That makes a difference when calculating your emergency fund needs.

One credit card (6k limit) - cleared every month and used for the purchases like insurance, tax, xmas etc etc that we have sinking funds for

I think you have solid advice already so nothing really to add there but a qn , the death in service that pays out 12x your salary I don't think I've ever seen it that high before !

Yes, it is very generous.. for everyone else, not me .. it includes dependents.
