Financial Advisor- what to look for

I’m mid 40s and would just like to sit down with someone to do a reci of my finances and anything I should be doing at this stage for the long term. I would be interested in investing too or at least finding out about it. What should you look for when looking for this kind of advisor or maybe a better question what should you avoid? Thanks.
