HI

For example I completed a diploma Full Time back when I finshed school. I paid no fees on the 3 years, as one would expect.

I comlpeted another diploma and a degree at nights Part Time. Fees fully paid for by employers of the time.

Am I still entitled to complete another degree fee free as I never took adavnatge of this to degree level?? As a follow on from my initial Diploma say?

WHo is the appropriate body to query ?

thanks

I'm not an expert but contact you Local Authority Grants section they'll have all the detail.

You probably have had most of your quota , as they work on the 'equal or less than qualifcation principle'. Your Diploma NCEA?) was equivalent to 2 years of a degree.

As far as I am aware, if you already hold a degree (regardless of who paid for it) you are not entitled to free fees for another course.
The Dept. of Education would be the place to check

My understanding is once you have a degree then you cannot receive any support for a second degree so the answer is no.

Contact your local VEC or Council and they should verify what I said.
