favourite AAM unsubstantives

Having read many different types of unsubstantive claims in the various AAM threads that seem to drive people nuts perhaps they should all be grouped together in one place so that they could be selected in a similar way to the emoticons.
To start the ball rolling here are a few of my personal favourites,
According to government reports
Everyone knows that
By all accounts
Figures show that
A taximan told me
Independent research shows
It's well known that

p.s. I'm not saying I don't use any of these only that lately I have found myself deleting (and rightly so) a line of text where I've realised that the first response will be asking for me to back up my claim.

Does "Probably the best..." or variations thereon get round having to prove one's assertion.
