I'm currently looking at moving from entry level cover for my husband and I with Irish Life (Kick Start) and the kids on the Nurture plan which worked out at ~€1700 pa. The downside of KickStart is that it only provides 65% for hospital stays. I'm thinking of moving to Laya Signify (~€2400pa). The thing putting me off is the €450 family excess for annual out-patient excess (versus €150 for individual excess). We're a pretty healthy bunch, but are also pushing on a little (45 and 52 years old, kids 7 & 9). Has anyone experience of this insurance scheme?
