I've a Regular Savings Account with FA. Currently pays 4%, can save up to €1,000 a month.

UB's nearest Regular SAvings equivalent offers 4%, but only €500 max a month.

Will my account be changed to €500 so max per month or just operate as normal?

Probably best to give the a call and see what they say, generally the products they offer are similar.

The FA website says that you become an UB customer at the start of 2010.

When will you become a customer of Ulster Bank?
You will become a customer of Ulster Bank in early 2010.

I would guess that you can continue to contribute 1,000 EUR per month until early 2010 but probably best to call FA to confirm.

Freefone 1800 303 068 (+353 48907 80028). Lines open 8.30am - 7pm Monday to Friday, 9am - 4pm Saturday and Sunday.

FA branches are for the most part closing this year in October (4 are being rebranded as UB). Where a branch has closed, the nearest UB branch will have a dedicated FA service desk until Feb 2010.

UB and FA are not merging their IT systems until Feb 2010 so therefore your account should continue as it is until then.
