Exterior paint colour

Am looking at colours for painting the outside of our house, and finding it a little tricky to get the colour we want. I know the colour I'm looking for, but find when I apply a tester the colour I've picked off a test card it doesn't look the same on the wall!

I'm looking for a 'flat cream', but not with a yellow-ish base, but more like a beige.

If anyone has any recomendations on any specific colours, would be great to hear them.

And yes, if paint colour was the biggest of my woe's wouldn't it be great

We used Sandtex "Ivory Stone" - saw it on a neighbour's house and borrowed a tester can from them. Very pleased with it, though it might be lighter than you were planning.

Thanks mct1, havn't tried any of the sandtex colours as woodies are more often out of the testers. Do you think the colour on the card is a good indicator of how it looks on the house, as in is it any darker or lighter when painted and dried ?
