exempt from tax?

Do i need to declare an income that is exempt from tax?
the income is foster care allowance, as its exempt from tax is there any concquence in not declaring it on tax return form?

You have to declare all income whether exepmt or not, its the law. It would be Revenues discretion if they decided to penalise you although I say its unlinkely, Howver to avoid any hassle at all I would recomment putting all onto the tax form and an explanatiory note along with it.
